  The problem occurs when a SIP client attempts to cancel a
  non-INVITE transaction, by sending a CANCEL request to the
  application server.
  Although such client behavior is a violation of the SIP
  protocol (RFC 3261 section 9.1) it exposes a bug in the
  server. The server should reply to the CANCEL with a 481
  (Transaction Does Not Exist) response, but instead, it throws a
  ClassCastException and returns no response to the client.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem is fixed in the SIP container. With this fix, the
  server replies to invalid CANCEL with a 481 (Transaction
  Does Not Exist) response.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 1.0.0.13 for the Feature Pack for Communications
  Enabled Applications. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
