    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of the File Manager Copy Utility *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Copy Utility issues msgFMNBE122 *
    * 'DSNAME not accepted' on panel FMNPDSCO *
    * when GDG(+1) is specified in the 'To *
    * Data set/path name' field where GDG is *
    * the name of a generation data group. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
The generation data set name is passed to the allocation routine
as specified on the panel. The allocation routine fails because
it requires the absolute generation name (GDG.GxxxxVyy where GDG
is the name of the generation data group, xxxx is an unsigned
4-digit decimal generation number and yy is an unsigned 2-digit
decimal version number) to be passed to it.

Problem conclusion

  • File Manager has been modified to correct this problem.
