Error description

  • While in Auxillary Edit, you want to scroll forward from the
    current record.  If the new record has a different layout from
    the prior position's record, the prior record layout will be
    used.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When repositioning a data set which     *
    *                      requires an auxilliary edit using a     *
    *                      template containing more than one       *
    *                      record definition the repositioned      *
    *                      record may be displayed using the wrong *
    *                      record layout.                          *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
    ****************************************************************
    When repositioning a data set which requires an auxilliary edit
    using a template containing more than one record definition the
    record is not being passed to the selection process and the
    existing record layout is being used.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The correct record layout will be used when the data set is
    repositioned.
