Error description
In WebSphere Application Server v7.0.x, a cluster of Application Servers are created and the servers are assigned to a Custom CoreGroup. When Messaging Engine Policy Assistance Wizard is used to create a policy, a policy is created under the DefaultCoreGroup instead of the Custom CoreGroup.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the default messaging provider * * for IBM WebSphere Application Server v7 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The SIB Cluster Member Policy Helper * * available in the Administration * * Console incorrectly creates the core * * group policy in the defaultCoreGroup * * and not the coregroup of the cluster. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The ME Policy Helper that is used in v7 to help configure the coregroup policy for a cluster messaging engine was incorrectly creating the new policy in the defaultcoregroup even if the clusters are not in the default coregroup.
Problem conclusion
The ME Policy Helper now creates the policy in the coregroup of the cluster. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.19. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
