Error description

com.ibm.websphere.ce.cm.StaleConnectionException is part of the
implementation of the J2C API. It should be contained in the
base_v7_stub jar files to allow applications to be built in the
Assembly Toolkit.

When building an application using the Rational Application
Developer assembly and deploy tool you might notice a
NoClassDefFoundError:
com.ibm.websphere.ce.cm.StaleConnectionException

This class is available in the com.ibm.ws.runtime.jar which is
found in the complete WebSphere Application Server V7.0 base
edition (base_v7\plugins) test environment in Rational
Application Developer but is not available in the base_v7_stub
directory (that is, the websphere_apis.jar).

In order to make this class available in the
websphere_apis.jar we need to add the appropriate
annotation to tell it is a public API so that when
websphere_apis.jar is built, it will include the class
com.ibm.websphere.ce.cm.StaleConnectionException as well.

Problem conclusion

Required annotation has been added to make the class
com.ibm.websphere.ce.cm.StaleConnectionException available in
the websphere_apis.jar

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.19.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
