Error description

  • TPC-R uses old credentials to reconnect a HA connection.

When the user establishes HA, TPC-R will create an object that
uses the credentials of the userid that is logged on.
TPC-R never terminates this thread. When the customer came back
to reconnect the connection, the old object was still running
    with the old credentials.
At the same time, a new object was created with the new
credentials of the id logged on, but was not used.

Local fix

  • The work around is to restart TPC-R and establish the HA
    connection with the generic ID.

Problem summary

  • When a user established a High Availability connection, TPC-R
will create an object that uses the credentials of the user ID
that is logged on. TPC-R never terminates the thread this object
is on. When a user comes back later to reconnect the
High Availability connection, the old object with the old
    credentials is used.

Problem conclusion

  • TPC-R will now shutdown the object so that when a reconnect is
issued, the credentials of the current user is being used.

Temporary fix

  • Restart the TPC-R server and establish the High Availability
    connection with the desired credentials.
