Error description

  • SQLCODE -130 with RDS CODE of -101 from DSNXOW2D, this means
the SQL stmt contains a LIKE or NOT LIKE clause with an
ESCAPE character, which is not allowed in MIXED=YES
environment.  This is supposed to be the same error as what we
know well in DB2 package cases and be ignorable.

However, as the customer states, the comment of BIND JCL in
SFMNSAM1(FMN2BIND) is misleading.

While the existing FM/DB2 FMN2BIND job does state that an RC=4
is acceptable, no specific mention of the SQLCODE-130 is made.

Problem conclusion

  • The FMN2BIND sample job has been changed to:
1.  Make it clear that an RC of 0 or 4 is acceptable.
2.  Specifically mention that an SQLCODE-130 received in a DBCS-
    enabled environment can be ignored.
