PM31714: fchdir() syscall fails inside mvfs view contexton hp 11.31

Error description

• SUMMARY:
  fchdir() system call fails when executed within a mvfs (view)
  context on HP 11.31 platforms.  Commands such as rm, and find
  will have a problem because they use fchdir() system calls
  during execution.

  On HP-UX 11iv3 (11.31), two successive versions of the same
  kernel patch introduced an incompatibility with use of
  ClearCase dynamic views.  When a process is running set to a
  ClearCase view, some system commands will  incorrectly
  return errors such as "directory not found".
  The incompatible patches are PHKL_41156 and PHKL_41421, and
  this is also included in the March 2011 bundle QPKBASE
  B.11.31..1103.361.
  This problem does not exist on HP-UX 11iv2 (11.23)
  

Problem conclusion

• HP has released a new patch which corrects this problem.
  Patch PHKL_42310 is a cumulative patch including the content
  from those previous patches, but is now compatible with
  ClearCase.
