Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A NullPointerException occurs in        *
  *                      com.ibm.ws.cache.servlet.ESIProcessor   *
  *                      when the application server is started. *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  The dynacache service sends periodic requests to the plug-in
  to verify the connection is still up.  If the request fails
  then the thread ends.  Otherwise it continues to wait for
  work.  If the request fails before dynacache has fully
  initialized the ESI processor the NullPointerException may
  occur.
  

Problem conclusion

• Dynacache will wait until the ESI processor is fully
  initialized prior to sending requests to the plug-in.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 6.1.0.39 and 7.0.0.17.  Please refer to the
