PM31097: CPUUSAGESINCELASTMEASUREMENT VALUE IN TIVOLI PERFORMANCE VIEWER IS NOT ACCURATELY BEING REPORTED ON WEBSPHERE Z/OS

Error description

• When viewing CPUUsageSinceLastMeasurement in Tivoli Performance
  Viewer within the WebSphere Integrated Solutions Console,
  the value is reporting a value much higher than what
  is reported by SDSF value.

  When PMI(performance Monitoring Infrastructure)is used to
  validate CPUUsageSinceLastMeasurement, it is showing a value
  which is much higher than the CPU usage value shown in SDSF
  utility of z/OS.This is because of some error in getting inputs
  by PMI.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code has been corrected to make sure proper value is sent out
  which is in-line with the other tools that are used to
  calculate the CPU usage value.
  
  APAR PM31097 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
  Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.15 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
