  • When a secure Web services outbound connection fails, the SSL
configuration that is being left on the thread could cause
future connection error.

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A failed secure Web services outbound   *
*                      connection could cause a future         *
*                      connection error.                       *

* RECOMMENDATION:  Install a fix pack containing this APAR.    *
****************************************************************
When a secure Web services outbound connection fails, the SSL
configuration used to make the HTTPS connection is not
correctly reset, and the configuration left on the thread
could cause future connection errors.

Problem conclusion

  • Web services runtime code has been changed to reset thread SSL
configuration when there is an error making an outbound
connection.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 6.1.0.39.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
page for delivery information:
