  The query generation code did not generate empty BLOB type
  column properly.
  
  The error message looks similar to the following:
  
  Deploying BlobTest
    Deployment from com.ibm.etools.ejbdeploy.EJBDeployer had
  errors:
    Error during generation of deployment code: Error
  generating Create query for bean Text (Abstract schema
  name=Text). Error=java.lang.RuntimeException: unknown data
  type.
  

Problem conclusion

• The query generation code now generates empty BLOB type
  column properly.
  
  The fix for this issue is included in Rational Application
  Developer v7.5.5.4.
