Error description

  • In testing using DB2 Batch customer find that member FMN2FTSL of
library FMN.SFMNSLIB is changed to use ISPF variable FMNSMOD1
for stetting the STEPLIB using ")SET SFMNMOD1 = &FMNSMOD1". In
the FM 8.1.0 release this was set to:

        ")SET SFMNMOD1=FMN.SFMNMOD1"

It seems that the new ISPF "FMNSMOD1" variable is not being set,
because the JCL created does not use the FMN.SFMNMOD1 name in
the STEPLIIB. They have set SFMNMOD1=FMN.SFMNMOD1 in both the
File Manager FMN0POPT and FMN2POPT option modules.

Local fix

  • Hard-code the FMN load module name in the FMN2FTSL skeleton.

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
The problem only occurs when skeleton FMN2FTSL is not changed
(customized) and only for batch JCL to execute the SQL reverse
engineering code. Other batch functions (eg copy, import) are
    not affected.

Problem conclusion

    problem.
