Error description
You receive DFHAP0001 An abend (code 0C4/AKEA) has occurred at offset X'00000548' in module DFHAPLJ1. It was found that module DFHRZTA GET_DEBUG_DATA processing does not check for a zero pointer before moving in the data. The routine GET_DEBUG_DATA should return an exception to say that there is no debug data, but instead moves garbage into the debug block, resulting in an 0C4 when DFHAPLJ1 attempts to use the incorrect values. Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Message DFHAP0001 is issued for * * abend 0C4 at offset X'548' in * * DFHAPLJ1 when a Web service provider * * in CICS links to a java application * * and the debug tool is active. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A Web service provider is running in CICS and a task is attached using request streams. There is an active debug profile for this transaction. The task includes a link to a java application and, because debug is active, DFHAPLJ1 calls RZTA GET_DEBUG_DATA. The buffer supplied by DFHAPLJ1 is in uninitialized storage. There is no debug data but DFHRZTA returns an OK response. DFHAPLJ1 attempts to access the data which can cause an 0C4 abend, depending on the values in the buffer.
Problem conclusion
DFHRZTA has been changed to return an exception response, with reason no_debug_data, when there is no data to return for a RZTZ GET_DEBUG_DATA request.
