PM24361: SERVER HANG CAUSED BY DATA MODEL CYCLE AFTER COPY

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After a copy is made the data model can potentially introduce a
  cycle in the list of children for a particular element.  This
  cycle leads to a server hang once the application tries to walk
  that tree.

  During certain rare internal copy scenarios the data model
  might introduce a cycle that causes applications to enter an
  endless loop while traversing this object tree.
  

Problem conclusion

• The internal data model now guards against the introduction of
  this cycle by adding the proper checks during the copying
  process.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 1.0.0.9. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
