APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The Operator, Configurator, and other roles should have the
    ability to update the global plug-in via the admin console:
    
    Environment >  Update global Web Server plug-in
    
    However, when trying to update the plug-in a security error is
    received:
    
    ADMN0022E: Access is denied for the generate operation on
    PluginCfgGenerator MBean because of insufficient or empty
    credentials.

  • Use Admin or Deployer role to update global plugin

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been corrected to allow for Operator and Configurator
    to generate the configuration from the Environment path.
    Deployer can be authorized using the instructions provided
    with PK71753.
    
    APAR PM23599 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
    Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.13 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
