    ABEND0C4 RC38 or RC11 from DSN3AUGC, DSNLCDP2, DSNLQACT or
    DSNVMON. ABEND04E RC00D35011 from DSNLZS00. DB2 eventually
    came down with RC00D94001.
Other abends are also possible as there are 2 byte or 6 byte
shift in the shared private storage above the bar (SCLASS 21 )
    .
The pool overlaid were typically SSSC GAC VL POOL
DDIS SHR MEM POOL but other pool is also possible.

    ****************************************************************
A remote client flows special registers to a DB2 server to
propagate the application environment before processing the
SQL in a transaction. A client can only send 32 statements
chained together. If the client sends more than 32 statements
in a chain, the DB2 server detects a DRDA exception but it also
incorrectly processes each statement without initializing
its internal loop counter thereby leading to a storage overlay.
The storage overlay may lead to unpredictable results including
one or more of the reported abends.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 server processing has been changed to not process the
statements after detecting the DRDA exception error.
