Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED: All DB2 users of XML partitioned table *
    *                 spaces.                                      *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Resource unavailable Reason 00C900BA *
    *                      RC00C900BA TYPE 00002006 when running   *
    * INSERT into PART x and LOAD REPLACE *
    * PART y on partition by range (PBR) or *
    * classic partitioned table spaces. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Timeouts RC00C900BA when an INSERT operation is running
    concurrently with a LOAD INTO TABLE PART n REPLACE utility.
    The utility is operating at the partition level but the INSERT
    is attempting to claim all parts of the XML table space. The
    INSERT should only be claiming the XML candidate partition.
    In addition to LOAD utility, a similar problem is seen when
    REORG is run at the PART level on the XML table space.
    ADDITIONAL KEYWORDS :  SQLXML XMLINSERT

Problem conclusion

  • The INSERT logic has been corrected to perform claims at the
    partition level. This will provide concurrency with utilities
    that operate on XML table spaces at the partition level.
