PM20774: REMOVE THE INSTRUCTION TO ISSUE ITMCMD CONFIG -A CW FROM INSTALLING APPLICATION SUPPORT ON TEPS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In the Installing and configuring ITCAM Agent for WebSphere
  Applications on Linux and UNIX systems chapter there is a
  section Installing application support on Unux and Linux
  systems.
  
  In step 18.
  # The installation program will complete the installation and
  exit. After this, re-configure the portal server and browser
  client by running:
  
  itmcmd config -A cq
  itmcmd config -A cw
  
  At any prompts, press Enter to accept the default values.
  
  The command itmcmd config -A cw needs to be removed as this
  command is invalid and not required.  If customer does issue
  this comamnd they will receive an error message:
  
  KCI0770E could not determine the lib arch
  

Local fix

• Do not issue ./itmcmd config -A CW during the installation of
  TEPS application support as this is not needed and invalid.
  

Problem summary

  * ITCAM for Application Diagnostics users v7.1 (GA version) who
  * are configuring TEPS (Portal Server) after installing
  * the application support files.
  *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

  * The AD 7.1 Info center incorrectly documents to configure the
  * Browser client (cw) component also.  When attempting this, the
  * user will get the following error:

  * KCI0770E could not determine the lib arch
  *

Problem conclusion

• The documentation for the current release of ITCAM for
  Application Diagnostics Websphre agent (7.1 fixpack 1) has been
  corrected to remove the command to configure the TEP browser
  client.
  
  
  The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
  packages:
