Local fix

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused when a thread is attached as daemon from
JNI code using API AttachCurrentThreadAsDaemon(). JVM doesn't
retain the daemon status of the thread. This leads to a graceful
shutdown of the JVM owing to the validation of a count that
reflects the non dameon status from within the JVM

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    1.4.2 SR13 FP6
    .
JVM has been updated to retain the daemon status of the thread
attached as daemon from JNI thereby preventing premature
    shutdown of JVM.
    .
    .
    To obtain the fix:
    Install build 20100822 or later

Temporary fix
