PM19477: SELECTION OF NON-EXISTING PAGE SHOULD RESULT IN HTTP 404 ERROR

Error description

• If a non-existing page is selected in a URL (e.g. via a
  bookmark
  to a page that has meanwhile been deleted), WebSphere Portal
  performs a default selection. However, some customer would like
  to have Portal respond with a HTTP 404 error.

Problem conclusion

• This APAR introduces a new flag. In the WAS Admin Console,
  please add the following custom property to the resource
  environment provider "WP StateManagerService":
  
  com.ibm.wps.state.preprocessors.selection.StandardPortalSelectio
  nImpl.selection.fallback.enabled = [true|false]
  
  where "true" enables the selection fallback mechanism, and
  "false" results in an HTTP 404 error if a selection made in the
  URL is not found.
  
  In addition, the following configuration setting needs to be
  added to the "WP ConfigService":
  
        state.decoding.fallback = false
