PM19295: Corruption of Strategy cache when calling copySiteFrameworkDocum ent in custom workflow action.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When running the determining if the first stage of a Workflow
is Draft it is possible with specific authoring template and
workflow settings to set the current thread as a render mode
thread during the workflowing of an item.

If custom workflow actions exist within this workflow which
perform copySiteFrameworkDocument operations the result is the
copy will be referenced in the Strategy cache in the place of
the original item. This corruption of the strategy cache can be
surfaced by any number of API calls referencing the original
    item.

Local fix

  • Corrected the logic which erroneously permanently modifies the
workflowing thread to be a render mode thread.
