  • Installing a fix pack, or other maintenance, to an application
server might cause functionality from the Feature Pack for
OSGi Applications and Java Persistence API 2.0 to stop
functioning.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Installing any maintenance using        *
*                      the update installer can cause          *
*                      problems with some OSGi functionality   *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
Due to the way that the update installer clears the OSGi
cache, any install of a maintenance package (regardless as to
if it involves a change to the Feature Pack for OSGi
Applications and Java Persistence API 2.0) might cause
functional problems with OSGi Applications.
For example, it might become impossible to install and
configure OSGi Applications via the administrative console.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 1.0.0.1 of the Feature Pack for OSGi Applications and
Java Persistence API 2.0
