Error description
Creating a draft from a published content with links, then renaming and publishing the draft does not update the name of the existing published content links.
Local fix
Rename the published content item directly to rename the links.
Problem summary
The published content link nodes in the JCR were not being updated with the new name because the system considered the publish operation a draft operation and was therefore only updating the draft content links. As a result any links generated to existing content link items (in navigators, menus, link components or elsewhere) would show the old name.
Problem conclusion
This problem was fixed by checking the workflow status of the item being updated to see if the operation should be considered draft or published.
