Problem summary
In Java 142, the reference count on File Descriptor mechanism was not implemented. When you call a close on an FD , all reference streams associated with it will also gets closed.
Problem conclusion
This defect will be fixed in: 1.4.2 SR13 FP6 . Implemented reference count on File Descriptors in Java 142 to resolve the issue. . To obtain the fix: Install build 20100826 or later
