    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
When an SELECT statement contains top-level union all
with order by and the select list of one union all
branch contains an XML function, an ABEND0C4
at dsnnxml.dsnnoget could occur because DB2 freed the
storage for the XML function result too earlier.

The following is an example of the failed queries:
     SELECT c1,
            xmlQuery('$c/o/a/l/e/o'
passing xmlcol as "c") as vertrag
    from T1
    UNION ALL
    select C1,
           xmlQuery('$c/o/a/l/e/o'
passing xmlcol as "c") as vertrag
    from T2
    order by 1

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 is fixed to manage the storage for XML functions correctly
for union all with order by queries.
