    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Mixed stylesheet Sources can result *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    If XSourceResolver returns a mix of different Source types
    when preparing a stylesheet and its imports and includes, such
    as DOMSource and StreamSource instances, repeated parsing of a
    stylesheet may occur. This will lead to a StackOverflowError
    (if systemIds are not set on the sources) or circular
    definition error such as the following:

    FATAL ERROR:  IXJXE0019E: [ERR XS1026][ERR XTSE0180, ERR
    XTSE0210] It is an error to use circular definitions on
    xsl:import or xsl:include instructions. The stylesheet
    '<stylesheet_uri>' is already loaded.; SystemID: unknown;
    Line#: unknown; Column# unknown

Problem conclusion

  • The problem has been eliminated, such that an XSourceResolver
    may freely mix Source types for a single stylesheet.

    This APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in the Feature
    Pack for XML 1.0.0.7. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
