Error description

  • When JVM custom property
    com.ibm.websphere.webservices.http.connectionKeepAlive is set
to "false", persistent HTTP connection for outbound Web
    services requests is not disabled.

    When JVM custom property
    com.ibm.websphere.webservices.http.requestResendEnabled is
set to "true", request resend logic is not enabled.

For example, following tracing messages may be seen:

    SOAPOverHTTPS 3 HTTPConstants.HTTP_REQUEST_RESEND : false
    ConfigFromJVM 3
    ...ConfigFromJVMProperties.persistConnEnabled() : true
SOAPOverHTTPS 3 Persistent Connection : true

Problem conclusion

  • Web services runtime has been fixed to handle JVM custom
    property
    com.ibm.websphere.webservices.http.connectionKeepAlive
    correctly and to honor
    com.ibm.websphere.webservices.http.requestResendEnabled.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 6.1.0.35. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
