Error description
Sometimes during restart of a CICS region an 0C1 in Module DFHMQCON occurs during connection to MQ-Series (V6) The CICS TS 4.1 message log shows : DFHMQ0307 CICS1234 Successful connection to queue manager MQT4 release 0600 group MQTS DFHAP0001 CICS1234 An abend (code 0C1/AKEA) has occurred at offset X'FFFFFFFF' in module DFHMQCON Another time an abend 0c4 occurs : DFHAP0001 CICS5678 An abend (code 0C4/AKEA) has occurred at offset X'FFFFFFFF' in module DFHMQCON. Another time an abend 0c6 occurs : DFHAP0001 CICS5678 An abend (code 0C6/AKEA) has occurred at offset X'FFFFFFFF' in module DFHMQCON. . The failing transaction is always CPLT and this task has picked up a register save area from the CICS CSA (CSAOSRSA). Just prior to issuing the DFHMQ0307 message in DFHMQCON (during which we go into the WAIT) we had previously issued a DFHDSAT macro call to perform RELEASE_OPEN_TCB function and that set R13 to point at the CSA. After that call R13 should have been reset to point to EISTG and failure to reset R13 led to an incorrect register save area getting loaded causing 0c1 / 0c4

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V3.2 * * users who have applied PTF UK55399. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Various program checks in DFHMQCON * * during connect processing. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** DFHMQCON fails to reset R13 to address the EISTG before issuing a CICS message. When DFHMQCON issues message DFHMQ0307, register 13 is still addressing the CSA and its register save area. During processing of the DFHMQ0307 message, DFHMQCON is suspended. Another task gets control which also uses the CSA register save area and doing so corrupts DFHMQCON's registers leading to the program checks.
Problem conclusion
UK55399 DFHMQCON has been changed to correctly restore the EISTG address into R13 after each function call.
