Application Developer significantly increases the time it
takes to debug / fix / and deploy SCA components.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: It is observed that some Feature Pack   *
*                      for SCA business-level applications     *
*                      (BLAs) are starting slowly.             *

This problem may be seen as scripting delays, or observing
long wait times when utilizing Rational Application
Developer's hot deploy feature for developing Feature Pack for
SCA BLAs.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Optimizing a loop exit and caching an intermediate value
result in reduced application startup time.

APAR PM15974 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 1.0.1.7 of WebSphere Application Server v7
Feature Pack for Service Component Architecture (SCA).  Please
