* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Exception thrown when serializing the   *
*                      static Service Data objects (SDO)       *
*                      using Java serialization                *

When serializing a static SDO using Java serialization, the
exception will be thrown.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • SDO controls the content of the Java serialization by
overriding the writeReplace() method. The visibility of this
method needs to be public for the static SDO Java
serialization to work.
