  • Error Message: Both "java" executables (.../jre/bin/java ,
    .../bin/java) are
    identical => same checksum.  They should be symbolically linked
    to each other.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The java build tree was packaged using an option which
    dereferences symbolic links.  The problem occurs with Linux on
    PPC and Linux on zOS.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    1.4.2 SR13 FP5
    .
    The packaging process has been modified so that symbolic links
    are preserved.
    .
    To obtain the fix:
    Install build 20100511 or later
