Error description

JAX-WS WS-Security Signature Verification may fail when using
STR-Transform without InclusiveNamespaces PrefixList.

By default, DataPower does not include InclusiveNamespaces
PrefixList when using STR-Transform with Exclusive C14N. All
the namespaces visibly utilized by the referenced token will
be rendered as defined by the Exclusive XML Canonicalization
Version 1.0 specification. Special rules are also applied for
the default namespace (xmlns="") and the xmlns:xml with the
well-known URI.

WS-Security STR-Transform with Exclusive C14N does not produce
the correct list of  namespaces for the security token element
thats being referenced by the STR-Transform and this ultimately
leads to an error similar to the following:

When the STR-Transform is used to sign Security Tokens, if the
InclusiveNamespaces PrefixList is not provided, the
WS-Security runtime does not produce the correct list of
namespaces for the apex element being referenced by the
SecurityTokenReference. This ultimately leads to signature
verification failures.

On WebSphere Application Server, the failure happens with errors
such as:

CWWSS5620E: Signature verification failed: Core validity=false
Signed
info validity=true Signed info message='null'
...

Problem conclusion

The WS-Security runtime is not removing the not visibly
utilized namespaces from the canonicalized output.

WS-Security runtime is updated to properly process an
STR-Transform without an InclusiveNamespaces PrefixList.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.13.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
