    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Memory leak after application was *
    *                      installed then uninstalled              *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    After the application was installed and uninstalled, its
    registered types were not freed up from the SDO type registry.

Problem conclusion

  • The SPI ReferenceSharingScopeManager used by WebSphere Proces
    Server keeps the object reference to the uninstalled types so
    the JVM cannot garbage collect them causing the memory leak.
    The memory leak has been corrected.
