Error description

  • ABEND0C4 RC00000011,U=SYSOPR,M=(N),C=810.RLMC-DSNJW117,
M=DSNJW008,PSW=070C70008005AEC4,A=0143 occurred. The PSW
address is pointing inside vendor code.  However, vendor
code uses DB2 recovery in DSNJW008 and subsequently the
recovery caused the storage overlay in PSA.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Disabled WAIT084-0C after two abends    *
*                      under the log write SRB.  FRR stack     *
*                      overlaid by the secondary FRR in        *
*                      DSNJW008.                               *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
A DB2 logger exit (DSNJW117) abended while holding a CML
lock.  The lock was not released.  The log-write FRR (DSNJW008)
got control, established a secondary FRR, and attempted to
issue the DSNJ150I LOG CAPTURE EXIT ABEND, EXIT DEACTIVATED
message.  This abended with SB78-2C due to the CML lock
being held.  The secondary FRR in DSNJW008 got control and
used R13 to obtain a parm area address before it was restored
from the FRR tracking area.  This resulted in an overlay of
the FRR stack and the disabled WAIT084 RC0C.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • DSNJW008 has been changed to restore R13 from the FRR
tracking area before it is used.
