    ****************************************************************
    ABEND0C4 RC00000004 in DSNIBNRF at offset 1C6C/1C68/1CB4/1CB0
    occurred as a result of a memory overlay caused by a logic
    error when validating an XML document that is bigger than 128K
    using the DSN_XMLVALIDATE user-defined function.

    Below is an example query which may cause an abend when
    the input XML document, first parameter to DSN_XMLVALIDATE,
    is bigger than 128K.

    SELECT 1 FROM (
      SELECT XMLPARSE(DOCUMENT SYSFUN.DSN_XMLVALIDATE(
      CAST(? AS BLOB(1M)),
      CAST(? AS VARCHAR(20)))) FROM SYSIBM.SYSDUMMYU ) XMLOK;

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 code has been fixed to prevent the memory overlay caused by
    validating the XML document that is bigger than 128K.
