Error description

Installation Factory (IF) is not handling interim fix install
for the trial version (IF_v 7.0.07)


Description: After creating Custom Instalation Package(CIP) by
using IF_v7007 downloaded from IBM support download site,
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24020539

Creating a TRIAL version of WebSphere Application Server
7.0.0.7 with a list of interim fixes. CIP was created
successfully for Windows and Linux, and CIP also installs
successfully. However, interim fixes did not get installed at
all. The same Installation Factory tool works for a WebSphere
Application Server Network Deployment edition version. Interim
can be installed.

The problem is happened because the interim fixes will not be
targeted to a WebSphere Application Server Trial version. So
in Trial CIP it will skip the interim fix installation.

Problem conclusion

This APAR fixex this problem and allows interim fixex to be
installed in a Trial CIP.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
Installation Factory 7.0.0.11.  Please refer to the Recommended
