    ****************************************************************
    The Installation Exit Parameter List
was increased from 256 to 512 bytes
    in PK71816 for data encryption.

    User-exits for editproc, validproc,
    data compression, fieldproc, and data
    encryption use the Parameter List.

For cases of editproc, validproc, data
    compression and fieldproc exits, the
storage of the Parm list was 256 bytes.

Some exits, such as DB2 Encryption tool
expected 512 bytes from DB2 in all
    cases. Storage overlay occurred on
    encryption for editproc, fieldproc,
    validproc, or data compression with
    these exits.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 increased the parameter list size for editproc,
validproc, fieldproc, and data compression routines
    to 512 bytes.
