Error description

WebSphere Application Server 6.1.0.29; Operating System: Sun
Solaris.
In the Administrative Console it is possible to configure
multiple identical Referenceables for a Resource Environment
Provider (identical Classname and FactoryClassname). This can
cause confusion because only the first one will be used by the
runtime. The administrative console should not allow identical
Referenceables to be created.

In the administrative console, under a Resource Environment
Provider,the user is allowed to create duplicate
Referenceables (with identical Classname and
FactoryClassname). This can cause confusion because the
runtime will only use the first one. The console should not
allow the creation of duplicates.

Problem conclusion

A code change was made to prevent the creation of duplicate
Referenceables on the administrative console.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.1.0.33 and 7.0.0.11.  Please refer to the
