Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0 administrative console * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WS-Security related links on * * application server templates throw an * * exception * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: To include WS-Security configuration data * * through the administrative console in * * templates the setting should be set on the * * application server used to create the * * template. The settings will then be copied * * to all application servers made based on * * the template. * **************************************************************** WS-Security functions were not intended to be supported on templates. Removing the links prevents the errors from occurring.
Problem conclusion
The WS-Security links were removed from the template detail panel so that the user does not assume the settings can be changed in the template. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.11.
