Error description
A mediation on a queue point defined on an MQServer stops working after an application is installed/uninstalled, or a BUS configuration reload occurs. The following FFDC is logged: Exception = java.lang.ClassCastException Source = com.ibm.ws.sib.processor.impl.DynamicConfigManager.refreshDestin ations probeid = 1:134:1.25.1.1 Stack Dump = java.lang.ClassCastException: com.ibm.ws.sib.processor.impl.RMQConsumerKey incompatible with com.ibm.ws.sib.processor.impl.JSConsumerKey at com.ibm.ws.sib.processor.impl.mediation.ActiveMediation.stop (ActiveMediation.java:380) at com.ibm.ws.sib.processor.impl.mediation.MediationStateMachine. tellMediationToStop(MediationStateMachine.java:1298) The messaging engine hosting the mediation needs to be restarted in order to resolve the issue.
Local fix
Restarting the server , which will re-start the messaging engine will resolve the problem.

As a result, when a BUS configuration reload occurs, and the mediation must be stopped, the ClassCastException occurs, and the mediation stops functioning.
Problem conclusion
PK94588 resolves the problem and mediations on MQServer destinations can be stopped and started when a BUS configuration reload occurs. APAR PM08136 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.9 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
