Error description

The below TokenExpiredException is thrown for LTPA token from
AsyncBean after a long-running processes, and 24 hours after
the server has started:

com.ibm.websphere.security.auth.TokenExpiredException: Token
expiration Date: Sat Oct 31 15:57:07 PDT 2009, current Date: Mon
Nov 02 10:44:03 PST 2009

AsyncBean created with IBM WebSphere Application Server that
has WebSphere Feature Pack for Web Services and AsyncBean
created with IBM WebSphere Application Server that does not have
WebSphere Feature Pack for Web Services require different ways
to check token expiration for their request. One of the token
expiration check mechanisms causes TokenExpirationException
when applied to a request sent from post-feature enablement
pack AsyncBean

Problem conclusion

A custom property is introduced to turn off one of the token
expiration check mechanisms that causes the exception. Even
after the mechanism is disabled, another mechanism introduced
after WebSphere Feature Pack for Web Services installation
works for requests from both type of AsyncBean.

To set the custom property:

1. From administration console: navigate to security toplevel
custom property panel as follows:

(v61) Secure administration, applications, and infrastructure
> Custom properties
(v70) Global security > Custom properties

2. Create following custom property and set its value to
true.

Custom property: com.ibm.ws.security.skipAsynchSubjectCache
Value: true
Default value: false

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 6.1.0.33 and 7.0.0.11.  Please refer to the
