Error description
wsgen is generating invalid schema in some scenarios involving inner classes, which may result in namespace errors.
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All developers of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server JAX-WS applications. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The wsgen tool is unable to resolve * * some JAX-WS components, and may * * produce an invalid schema file. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Generating a JAX-WS web service using the Application Server Toolkit or with the wsimport command line tooling may result in multiple namespace errors. . Example: warning: src-resolve.4.1: Error resolving component 'XXXX'. It was detected that 'XXXX' has no namespace, but components with no target namespace are not referenceable from schema document 'YYYY.xsd'. . The invalid schema was produced by the wsgen tool.
Problem conclusion
The wsgen tool fails to properly map some inner class types and generates element references which are not properly qualified. Namespace errors may occur when the schema is then consumed by any schema parser or validation tool. . The wsgen tool now generates correct schema files with properly qualified element references. . The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 6.1.0.33.
