Error description

  • 'last modified date' on online entry detail panel, appears to
be incorrect, given in GMT instead of local time.  Info panel
and field level help need to be updated to indicate the
timestamp is in GMT.

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Last modified date on the panel     *
*                      displayed using the Info command on a   *
*                      VSAM dataset appears to be incorrect.   *
*                      It is displaying in GMT (Greenwich      *
*                      Mean Time).                             *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
****************************************************************
VSAM stores the Timestamp indicating the the last date/time
closed after an update. This date/time  is intentionally stored
by VSAM as GMT.
File Manager should make this clear when displaying the
date/time value.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • File Manager has been updated to change the VSAM Info panels and
Field level help for the Last modified date field to show that
it has been recorded as GMT.
