PM04000: DCSV9421W ERRORS AFTER UPGRADING A NODE IN A MIXED CELL TO 6.1.0.27.

Error description

• In a mixed cell at 6.1.0.27 and 7.0.0.6, users may see the
  following error:
  .
  BBOO0221W: DCSV9421W: General networking problem occurred on
  socket address xx.xx.xx.xx
  Exception
  java.lang.Exception: CheckAsyncConnectCB: Channel Framework
  Problem! A request for connection establishment was not
  completed after ....
  .
  The error will be repeated many times in the controller region
  of a server and the servant regions will fail to start.
  

Local fix

• Roll back the v6.1 node maintenance to 6.1.0.25 or lower, or
  raise the v7.0 node maintenance to 7.0.0.7 or higher.

  A server hangs during initialization when a cell has a node at
  version 6.1.0.27 or higher and the daemon at version 7.0.0.6 or
  lower. The down level resource manager is setting
  bacb_AS_terminating which causes work not to be queued to WLM.
  

Problem conclusion

• Changed bborrmc to detect if the daemon is down level.
  When the daemon is down level the resource manager is
  established for the cross memory owning task only.
  BBOO0372E DAEMON RUNNING WITH DOWN LEVEL BBODPCRT:BBORRMGR. IT
  DOES NOT CONTAIN PM02469.
  is issued indicating that the daemon needs to be restarted
  at a version 7 level that contains PM02469.
  
  APAR PM04000 requires changes to documentation.

  Information Center will be updated to include the following
  new message:
  
  BBOO0372E DAEMON RUNNING WITH DOWN LEVEL {0}. IT DOES NOT
  CONTAIN {0}.
  
  Explanation: The server has detected that a service update
  is only partially applied. In a mixed-cell environment,
  service updates applied to a node that is running at a
  lower level of the product, must also be applied to the daemon.
  
  Programmer response: Apply the corresponding service update
  to the daemon, and restart the daemon.
  
  APAR PM04000 is currently targeted for inclusion in
  Service Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.11 of WebSphere Application
  Server V7.0.
