Error description
Problem : If client choose to augment the existing profiles during the time of install of a feature pack for example: -OPT PROF_augment="-profileName node -templatePath /apps/websphere/was61/sbx5-app-node1-ibm/profileTemplates/EJB3/d efault.ejb3fep" The install fails because there is "-" in the install Location of WebSphere Application Server and Installer takes it as beginning of parameter. Profile Creation Tool takes this option as : <message>Incoming command line is: { "-augment" ,"-profileName" ,"node" ,"-templatePath" ,"/csapps/websphere/was61/sbx5" ,"-app-node1-ibm/profileTemplates/EJB3/default.ejb3fep" }</message> </record> <record> So this causes failure.
Local fix
Please don't augment the Profile at time of install. Use manageprofiles.sh command or PMT Tool ( 32 bit WebSphere Application Server ) to augment the profiles , once the Feature Pack is installed.
