Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED: All Tivoli Decision Support for z/OS users. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When saving an update definition to a *
    * dataset, any LET statements are *
    * saved in reverse order. If a LET *
    *                      statement uses a field defined          *
    * in the previous LET statement then an *
    * error will occur when the update *
    * definition is then processed by TDS. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY THE PTF FIXING THIS APAR *
    ****************************************************************
When saving an update definition TDS retrieves all the LET
statements from the TDS system table DRLUPDATELETS. The SQL
statement does not have an ORDER BY statement on it, so the
LET statements are not being fetched in the order that they
need to be in for execution (based on the LET_NO column).

Problem conclusion

  • Saving an update definition to a dataset will now save the
LET statements in the correct order.
