PK99752: BROWSE CONTENT BUTTON DISABLED IN LOCAL RENDERING PORTLET WHILE INSERTING LINK FROM RTE.

Error description

  • Browse content button disabled in local rendering portlet while
    inserting link from RTE.
    
    Steps to recreate the issue.
    
    (1) Create an authoring tool component . use following code in
    edit action design..
    
    <a href="<Placeholder tag="href"/>" >
    <Placeholder tag="name"/></a>
    
    (2) Refer this AT tool in presentation template using component
    tag.
    
    (3) Create a new content with RTE element using above
    presentation template and preview it in LRP..
    
    (4) click on Edit link , it will open content in edit mode.. now
    , click on Insert link button.. It will open a pop up,
    
    In this popup , the button , "Browse Content" is disabled..
    

Local fix

Problem summary

    When inserting a link to a WCM content in the rich text editor
    the
    browse content button is greyed out.
    
    Detailed Problem Description:
    The Browse content button when inserting a link is disabled when
    the content item is edited via the authoring Tool cmpnt in RTE
    

Problem conclusion

  • Problem Analysis:
    This was introduced as a regression. The LRP couldn't retrieve
    the available libraries through the session attribute.
    
    Problem Solution:
    A change was made to make the code more robust and handle this
    case
