APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • For using the "New Member Notifcation" in Quickr, it is
necessary to configure a host name in the WebSphere Portal
ConfigService. This configuration, however, has side-effects on
the construction of URLs. In particular, once the host name is
configured, WebSphere Portal always uses that host name to
generate URLs which may not be desirable for other reasons.

Problem conclusion

  • With iFix, a new property is being introduced. If for
whatever reason the host name configured in "WP ConfigService"
cannot be configured as described in the InfoCenter, the host
name can now be configured just for member notification. To do
so, please enter the following property to the resource
    environment provider "WP AIInitService":

       mail.url.host.name

This setting will override any and all host name settings
elsewhere in WebSphere Portal (including any derivative
    products)
