Closed as program error.
Error Message: N/A . Stack Trace: N/A .
Increase the default OS stack size with ulimit.
The problem was determined to be the result of the Async Signal Handler thread being forked with the default OS stack size. When the signal handler was triggered with a large on-stack buffer a fatal native stack overflow occurred.
This defect will be fixed in: 1.4.2 SR13 (zLinux 64-bit) . The JVM has been updated so that the stack size is set to the -Xmso value for the platform. -verbose:sizes option can be used to determine the operating system default values. . To obtain the fix: Install build 20090904 or later
